Xpand Accountability

Return and Report in Xpand. At the end of each meeting your client, or people should walk away with action items or initiatives that they have deadlines on. At the start of each meeting in Xpand you should take some time to check in on that progress. The fact that you are watching them will help ensure accountability. 

Numbers: people should be assigned specific key performance indicators (KPI’s) to track daily or weekly in Xpand. In your meetings you can privately or publicly call these numbers out. This will give opportunity to recognize the performers, and humiliate the underperformers. People need to feel the pain and pleasures of accomplishment. You can’t keep clients or employees that continue to underperform. You gotta weed out the fat, and numbers are going to be the fastest way for you to make those kinda decisions. 

Deadlines: If people are continuously setting a target deadline and have to always renegotiate it, you should assess this. If you have constant late submissions on projects, this may be an indicator of you not setting realistic expectations, or people don’t see the urgency to get their work done. Have a backbone and start making changes in the organization to ensure proper progress. If a client keeps telling you stories on why they can’t hit their deadlines, it’s your responsibility to call them out, that is why they hired you as their coach or consultant and you must remind them of that.
