Engagement in E-Learning

In Xpand you can make Xpand courses and can assign the Xpand course. You will make courses, assign them, and nobody will watch them. Sometimes this will get frustrating so it’s important to plan ahead of that and give more weight to your courses. You would be shocked how many people PAY for courses and still don’t watch all of them. If you aren’t charging for your assigned learning, there is very little skin in the game off the bat for them to want to watch them. So as a leader you can do a few things to help drive your people to your content: 

1. Create Xpand achievements and rewards: 
1. Giveaway swag, prizes etc for those that finish content on time (see rewards and achievements chapter for more details) 
2. Create pay changes in Xpand: 
1. If you have the ability to manipulate pay bumps upon getting “Certified” in specific content try that
2. Decrease pay for those that don’t engage
3. Create Xpand leaderboards:
1. Publicly display and talk about those that are committed to learning the most. Show off their videos watched, time spent on the platform etc. Call out those that aren’t login in. Help correlate performance to training. 
2. Show off top learners in meetings and trainers and ask them what they are learning and how it is benefiting their performance. These people can be your advocates promoting the content as well. 
4. Create punishments in Xpand: 
1. Take away privileges when people don’t spend time learning. 
2. Limit access to your parties or prize participation. 
5. Build it into a performance metric that competes and as weight. 
1. You get X prize when you Sell X amount and finish XYZ training. 
2. You have to have X Closing percentage and 5 hours a week to be in X or get X. 
6. Make it required
1. In order to get your first paycheck you must finish XYZ courses 
2. In order for you to attend the call you have to have first finished X course
